Insulation & Energy Audit

We offer insulation inspections to help homeowners evaluate the energy usage and performance. Energy Star maintains that an attic that has been well insulated can help homeowners save up to 20% on their heating and cooling energy bills every year.

Our insulation inspection involves checking the current insulation levels in your attic. We will immediately let you know whether or not you are losing money by having inefficient insulation. A home that is under-insulated will lose up to 40% of the air-conditioned air through the attic, which can cost you a lot of money.

Energy costs have been steadily rising, which means that insulation is becoming very important to homeowners and business owners as time goes on. Whether you are trying to keep your home warm or trying to cool it down, maximizing your home’s R-values can pay for itself over and over throughout the lifetime of your home or building.

We want to ensure that our customers are able to maximize the opportunities available to them so that they can save on the increasing costs of energy.

If your attic floor is insulated, but the beams (joists) are still visible, you probably don’t have enough insulation. Even if you can’t see your beam, there is still no guarantee that you have the proper amount of insulation.

Do you have enough insulation? To maximize your energy efficiency, we recommend an insulation R-value of 1260 for attic floors. This is about 20 inches of insulation.

Adding fiberglass insulation to your attic is simple and easy with Glacier Roofing & Exteriors. Since fiberglass insulation will not settle it will hold its energy saving, R-value over time. Glacier Roofing also has equipment to vacuum out any wet or damage old insulation.
