If your attic floor is insulated, but the beams (joists) are still visible, you probably don’t have enough insulation. Even if you can’t see your beam, there is still no guarantee that you have the proper amount of insulation.
Do you have enough insulation? To maximize your energy efficiency, we recommend an insulation R-value of 1260 for attic floors. This is about 20 inches of insulation.
