Field supervisor

Glacier Roofing and Exteriors, a roofing and exterior restoration company headquartered in Coeur d’ Alene, ID is looking for a Field Supervisor to join the team. This is perfect for an individual with a background in construction and wanting to gain more experience in the trades!

Glacier seeks this candidate to work closely with our Sales and Support team to assist on both residential and commercial re-construction projects. The Field Supervisor will report directly to the Production Manager and Owner/President.

As the company grows, there will be opportunities for the Field Supervisor to take on new responsibilities and to share in the company’s success through our bonus and profit share program.

Responsibilities (training provided)

Inspect and verify all roofing material deliveries for accuracy and completeness
Verify salespeople’s measurements and scope-of-work are accurate
Verify dumpsters, trailers, and crews are on time at correct locations
Field inspect all construction jobs/trades at the beginning and end of each project to ensure to go over any special requests or concerns and ensure high-quality construction and cleanup
Report problems, repair issues, and assist in managing those said punch lists
Assist in exterior repairs such as fascia, siding, trim work, leaf guard, gutters, and other trades that come up before or after the project.
Manage trade partner/sub crews in the field and report any concerns to Owner.
Ensure all exposed roofs are protected
Provide ladder assistance to internal sales, insurance adjusters, and municipal inspectors
Assist Area Sales Leaders, Sales Cons with field training new Sales Reps
Be on call at scheduled times to handle field emergencies (emergency tarps)
Assist with production scheduling
Assist with Exterior projects (siding/windows/doors/gutter/gutter guard)
Assist with Reconstruction projects (interior / remodels/ decks / Other)

Skills/qualifications

Preference for candidates with coursework and work experience in business, roofing, general construction, carpentry or similar
Exceptional project management skills: time management, multi-tasking, prioritization, attention to detail
Strong communication and personnel management skills
Comfortable climbing ladders and walking on roofs
Handyman and carpentry skills a plus
Spanish speaker a plus

Status, Compensation, worksite

Full Time (Salaried) – some Saturdays and Evenings / when job is complete
Strong growth potential (income/knowledge)
Expanding across Northern Idaho / Missoula MT
Compensation is commensurate with experience
Our headquarters is in Coeur d’ Alene, ID and we have satellite offices in all our target markets
